The Band

What possesses 5 guys to be boxed in a small rehearsing room, just cranking it up to eleven?
Well, it´s too damn fun not to. We all came together as a group at the very end of 2016, and we all agree upon that the future at hand looks really prominent in every aspect. We love what we do and are trying to have as much fun as we can (while we can). If you wish to label us, go right ahead, but we don´t see ourself as a typical hard rock or metal band. Let´s just say that we regard our self as being nothing more or less, but us.

We would also like to take the opportunity to say thank you ,to all who participated in the beginning. Nobody mentioned and nobody forgotten. And with that said, even though we are newly founded, we all share quite the experience together. Love to see any of you who took the time to read about us, on a local stage near you !

I was raised in Swedens smallest city together with my two brothers. I started playing the piano at the age of 5 and later the guitar at the age of 10. Since I did not know many musicians at the time, sports became the dominant hobby until I was of age to drive to the closest bigger town. This opened up a whole new world to me and music quickly became the hobby of choice. To play music in a band was what I wanted to do!

Gear

Main guitars: Valley arts standard pro, Gibson les Paul standard
Main amp: Elmwood Modena 60 and 2x12 cab
Effects most often used: Overdrive,Reverb, Delay, Wha and tuner

I have done musical things since the age of 4 in one way or another. Including everything from classical and folk music violin, classic guitar and singing in a choir and an a capella group. And in my teens off course been in a cover band playing mostly Metallica and Rage Against the Machines too loud on crappy amps. I have dabbled in a little home studio stuff and soon realising that it is not as easy as it looks. Musical influences have been quite focused and mostly more modern stuff than classical metal and rock. The rush from standing on a stage and perform together is like nothing else.

Gear

Main guitars: PRS Custom 24, PRS Tremonti SE.
Main amp: Blackstar HT 100 and Palmer V30 2x12 cab
Effects: Wah, Fuzz, Compressor, Booster, Flanger, Delay, Reverb

Angelo Mayer

The prick who couldn´t be bothered to write his bio. He sings and stuff. ´Nuff said.

At the age of too young I started listening to different kinds of rock, when I turned 9 I started to play the keyboards, just to 3 years later realize that drumming was a lot cooler. Since then I’ve played in various bands. I have explored alternative rock, indie pop & progressive rock before deciding which path to follow up closer. Take a listen to Novalie to see one of my previous bands.

Before Restorya, I have been playing music since a young age in one form or another. My music teacher back in the days, said that my choice of style was undefinable….Whatever the hell he meant by that. I`ve done my share of slaughtering other talented peoples work (yes, I`m not at shame to confess that I played in some cover bands….) but realized that I thought it was more fun to be participating in writing our own stuff. Let´s just say that almost every band out there (doing their own thing and playing hard rock or metal) has influenced me.
